Homespun 2

His young siblings now settled into their new home with the Lancaster family, eighteen-year old Fitz embarks on an adventure halfway around the world to celebrate the culmination of the missionary work his parents died while doing.  He is now free to choose whether to stay and continue the next phase of their Bible translation work, go to college back in the States, or do something else entirely.  His life is finally his own.

Back at home, Andy at long last gets to move into the basement bedroom she waited so many years for.  But her life seems a little less interesting now that Fitz has moved out, a much more  calm soul than when he and his siblings first arrived in America.  He had actually become a friend, and someone worth having around, at just the time he decided to leave for Papua New Guinea.

Then out of Fitz’s past, a girl he met while at the International School is back in the States to attend college and wants to reunite with him.  Andy opens the letter to email whatever its contents are to Fitz.  She never suspected what she read there would be personal and was definitely not meant for her eyes.  Whether she sits on the invitation or forwards it along, it’s going to be awkward when Fitz finds out what she knows.
